A former infantry Marine, he has spent years developing his skills across a wide range of disciplines, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Highland Games, judo, and wrestling. He has also served as a certified personal trainer and wrestling referee.
With extensive experience as both a competitor and a coach, Dakota leads combat sports instruction and team development for the Bayou Brutes. His commitment to high standards, disciplined training, and athlete growth has shaped the organization from its founding.
He is dedicated to creating an environment where members have access to the tools, training, and support needed to thrive both on and off the field.

Scott has made significant personal investments of time and resources to support the Bayou Brutes, including supplying and maintaining multiple loaner armor kits. His contributions have reduced barriers to entry for new fighters and helped ensure athletes can train and compete with appropriate equipment.
As a Board Member, Scott brings a practical, solutions-oriented perspective to organizational decisions, helping guide the Bayou Brutes’ growth as a sustainable nonprofit organization.
